MMJ Day 16

So after a very boring photo yesterday I thought you deserved a treat as I just can't do another stand straight and try and look pretty photo so here's a few to giggle at!

a very nonchalant pose hands in pockets kicking up my heels, ah c'est la vie

Um...cat do you KNOW who I AM??  I'm a nutter having pictures taken

See?  Lost the plot

A bit of a Charleston/yawn pose

A bit more mad dancing

and now I have the giggles!

The boring bit are, me made Burda style skirt that I originally made the length it states in the pattern and I decided it was far too short so added the cream bit at the bottom as had no more fabric and am not enamoured with it.  I originally considered embroidering it to look like the flowers on the top but I'm far too lazy and don't think I'd like it anyway as fear it might look a bit too twee.  I've also considered taking off the cream and putting a smaller bit of fabric on in a darker colour but again too lazy.  My final thought has been to just turn up the bottom bit so it's half the width but haven't done that either.  Subsequently it hasn't been worn that much since Me Made March and wasn't going to be worn today but just couldn't bring myself to repeat just yet.  I did however, repeat the shrug and the flower hair clip, but they don't count as they're accessories/necessities...so Naaa.

I'm having fun watching my cat trying to catch the birdies on Springwatch, priceless!

I'm beginning to realise since we're halfway through that I've got a weirdly large amount of pink in my me made wardrobe and even yellow.  These aren't colours I thought I'd have a lot of, purple, teal, turquoise yes, pink is something I have in my RTW stuff but yellow really isn't.  How strange is that?  Do you find that you have colours in your me made wardrobe that isn't amongst the colour of clothes you would have bought before you started sewing?

  2. 16 days with no repeats! No wonder you are dancing for joy, or giddiness, or whatever you have there. I've been stuck in repeat/me-made pajama and bag land for a week.

  3. I like your skirt - howsabout experimenting with a little bit of stencilling around the bottom band? I think a bird or two would look splendid and not so twee as the embroidery. You're over halfway through. Keep it up!

  8. haha! love the 'tah-dah' bit! Hate to spoil it but I'm really not that tah-dah outside this blog, I'm quite introverted but am trying very hard to learn to laugh at myself. I do have 'moments' though!
